Job summary

Forefront is seeking a part-time dining assistant to help set up the dining area and trays for meal services, ensuring food safety and adherence to dietary restrictions based on residents' needs. You will assist cooks, deliver meal carts, record fridge temperatures, wash dishes, and maintain sanitation while following Federal, State, and Community regulations.

Expect shifts days and evenings, with some weekends and holidays, and opportunities for training and certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook/supervisor with food preparation and service following procedures and regulations.
• Deliver residents’ meal carts and set/clean assigned dining area(s).
• Accurately record temperatures on refrigerators and maintain stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes and ensure sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
• Follow Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Adhere to HIPAA, Health and Safety regulations, and accrediting agency standards.
• Attend department meetings as required.
• Demonstrate accountability for personal/professional growth and required certifications/licenses if applicable.
• Complete mandatory training and competencies annually.

• Responsible for assisting cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines, and regulations.
• Responsible for delivering residents’ meal carts, and setting and cleaning assigned dining area(s) to serve residents.
• Accurately recording temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes; adhering to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
• Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
• Attends department meetings as required.

This is an hourly position, expected hours include days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.
