Job summary

Forefront in Columbus, GA is hiring an hourly Dining Aide to set up dining areas, assist cooks, and serve meals while following safety guidelines.

You will record refrigerator temperatures, wash dishes, stock areas, and maintain sanitation. Hours include days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays in a facility setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic food safety practices and sanitation.
• Ability to follow established meal service procedures.
• Experience in a dining or food service role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean dining areas for residents.
• Assist cook/supervisor with food preparation and meal service.
• Deliver residents’ meal carts and ensure timely service.
• Accurately record refrigerator temperatures and monitor storage.
• Wash dishes and maintain overall sanitation of the kitchen.
• Follow Federal, State, and Community rules and facility policies.
• Attend required department meetings and trainings.

Job description

You will be responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs.

• Responsible for assisting cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines, and regulations.
• Responsible for delivering residents’ meal carts, and setting and cleaning assigned dining area(s) to serve residents.
• Accurately recording temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
• Wash and store dishes; adhering to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
• Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Responsible for acting in conformance with all facility and departmental policies and procedures including those relating to Human Resources, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Health and Safety regulations, Compliance requirements, Patient Rights, Confidentiality, and HIPAA. Responsible for acting in conformance with accrediting agency standards.
• Attends department meetings as required.
• Demonstrates accountability to accept responsibility for personal/professional growth and any required certifications/licenses, if applicable.
• Completes mandatory training and competencies annually.

This is an hourly position, expected hours include days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays.
