Job summary

Rosa’s Diner in Washington, DC is seeking a friendly Server to welcome guests, take orders, and deliver food with a smile. You will guide guests through the menu, suggest pairings, and provide attentive service to ensure a memorable dining experience.

The role is full-time with tips and benefits described in the TEAM program. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but training is available for the right candidate, and strong English communication is essential.

• Experience in customer-facing roles preferred; training available for the right candidate.
• Excellent English communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service throughout the dining experience.
• Take and accurately enter food and beverage orders.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and answer questions about menu items.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and ensure orders are correct.
• Check in with guests throughout their meal and anticipate their needs.
• Maintain clean, organized tables and service areas.
• Process guest checks and payments accurately.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service TEAM members.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and customer service standards.

• Process guest checks and payments accurately
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service TEAM members

• Restock server stations and complete assigned opening and closing duties
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times

Requirements

• Prior restaurant or food service experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate
• Friendly, outgoing, and guest-focused personality
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math and cash-handling skills
• Knowledge of food safety and proper food-handling procedures
• Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a TEAM
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Excellent English communication skills; ability to read, write, and speak fluently

$17.00 per hour + tips
