Job description

Responsible for: offering prompt and courteous service so the guests have an enjoyable experience. Maintain the cleanliness and guest-ready appearance of the outlet.

Pre Requisites

The Company associates have access to guestrooms and property; honesty and trustworthiness are essential. Associates must pass security clearance as per company policy.

• One year experience in food and beverage preferred.
• Experience with chain food and retail outlets preferred.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

Must be able to perform major life activities: standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.

• Push or pull 60 pounds; lift and/or carry 30 pounds.
• Stand for eight hours; bend, stretch, reach.
• See and hear.
• Speak and read English; knowledge of another language may be helpful.

Knowledge in:

• Age verification for alcohol service.
• Menu items, preparation methods, beverage choices.
• Standards of operation as required by brand.
• Local shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
• Daily hotel operations, events, bulletin boards, updates.
• Property details: staff, services, hours, rooms, rates, discounts.

• Computer literate: operate property management system, post charges, compute bills, process payments.

Specific Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain dining area and supplies in guest-ready condition.
• Process guest charges and gratuities per standards, policies, procedures.
• Maintain safety and security; know emergency procedures.
• Ensure high-quality product and service for guests.
• Complete daily side work; stock; may handle ordering, cost control, quality maintenance, report issues timely.
• Maintain certification from brand-approved responsible vendor training.
• Perform other duties as assigned within capability.

Standing, walking long periods; maintaining a professional image. Flexibility in work schedule; availability 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
