Job summary

Johnson Electric is seeking a Server Manager to lead enterprise server infrastructure across the Americas. You will maintain Windows servers, AD, and Hyper‑V, optimize performance for manufacturing apps, and ensure disaster recovery readiness in a 24x7 global environment.

Join a global IT team, collaborate on standards, and support audits while coordinating with vendors for licenses and service. Local and international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Windows Server experience (2017/2019/2022; Server 2025 preferred).
• 1+ year of physical-to-cloud migrations (AWS or Azure).
• 2+ years of Cisco networking across switches/routers/WLAN/firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enterprise server infrastructure across the Americas.
• Configure and optimize server performance for manufacturing apps.
• Design and support SQL clustering and high-availability environments.
• Administer Hyper‑V, including patching, backups, and lifecycle management.
• Manage backup and recovery using Veeam.
• Ensure proper server permissions and access controls.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity testing.
• Collaborate with Global IT on standards and best practices.
• Participate in internal and external system audits.
• Coordinate with external vendors for licenses and support services.
• Provide 24x7 global infrastructure support as part of IT.
• Ensure compliance with TISAX, CMMC, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001.
• Travel locally and internationally as required.

As our next Server Manager you will be a key member of the Corporate IT team, responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing Johnson Electric’s enterprise server infrastructure across the Americas. This role supports a global, 24x7 manufacturing environment and ensures operational stability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintaining enterprise server infrastructure including Windows Servers, SQL, DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory.
• Configuring and optimizing server performance for manufacturing applications.
• Designing and supporting SQL clustering and high‑availability environments.
• Administering Hyper‑V environments, including patching, backups, and lifecycle management.
• Managing backup and recovery using Veeam.
• Ensuring proper server permissions and access controls.
• Supporting disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
• Collaborating with Global IT teams on infrastructure standards and best practices.
• Participating in internal and external system audits.
• Coordinating with external vendors for software licenses and support services.
• Providing 24x7 global infrastructure support as part of the IT team.
• Ensuring compliance with TISAX, CMMC, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001.
• Traveling locally and internationally as required.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2017 / 2019 / 2022); familiarity with Server 2025 preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with physical‑to‑cloud migrations (AWS, Azure).
• 2+ years of experience with server connectivity via Cisco switches, routers, WLAN, and firewalls.
• Cisco certification or working toward certification.
• Strong experience with Active Directory and Exchange in multi‑site environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Hyper‑V, Veeam, SCCM, and Zabbix.
• Experience supporting a 24x7 operational environment.
• IBM AS400 administration experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; Spanish or Chinese is a plus.
