Job summary

Johnson Electric is seeking an IT Server Manager to oversee enterprise server infrastructure across the Americas. You will ensure stability, security and disaster recovery readiness for a 24x7 manufacturing environment. Candidates should have Windows Server expertise, hands-on Hyper-V and Veeam experience, and strong AD/Exchange skills.

The role involves global collaboration, vendor coordination, and compliance with industry standards. Local travel and onsite work in the Americas are involved.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2017/2019/2022; Server 2025 preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience with physical-to-cloud migrations (AWS, Azure).
• 2+ years of experience with server connectivity via Cisco switches, routers, WLAN, and firewalls.
• Cisco certification or working toward certification.
• Strong experience with Active Directory and Exchange in multi-site environments.
• Hands-on experience with Hyper-V, Veeam, SCCM, and Zabbix.
• Experience supporting a 24x7 operational IT environment.
• IBM AS400 administration experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; Spanish or Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enterprise server infrastructure across the Americas (Windows Server, SQL, DHCP, DNS, AD).
• Configure and optimize server performance for manufacturing applications.
• Design and support SQL clustering and high-availability environments.
• Administer Hyper-V environments, including patching, backups, and lifecycle management.
• Manage backup and recovery using Veeam.
• Ensure proper server permissions and access controls.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
• Collaborate with Global IT teams on infrastructure standards and best practices.
• Participate in internal and external system audits.
• Coordinate with external vendors for software licenses and support services.
• Provide 24x7 global infrastructure support as part of the IT team.
• Ensure compliance with TISAX, CMMC, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001.
• Travel locally and internationally as required.
