Job summary

Super Micro Computer is seeking an experienced Application Validation Engineer to perform comprehensive validation testing on motherboards and server systems, develop automated test procedures, and maintain robust plans across Linux and Windows environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality hardware and firmware, contribute to test automation, and document results with a strong focus on detail and reliability in data center settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 1–2 years of proven experience as an Application Validation Engineer or in a related field.
• Proficient in Python, C, C++, and Shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of Server Hardware and Computer Architecture with Networking/TCP/IP knowledge.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience in server firmware validation is a plus (BIOS/BMC/CPLD/EEPROM).
• Experience in data center/HPC rack-level validation is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive validation testing for motherboards and server systems.
• Develop and automate test procedures and maintain validation plans.
• Perform functionality, performance, stress, and reliability testing.
• Analyze test results and report hardware/software quality issues.
• Provide OS driver/application analysis and support for Linux and Windows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and drive resolution.
