Job summary

Supermicro is seeking an experienced Application Validation Engineer to contribute comprehensive validation testing for motherboards, server systems, and associated components. You will develop and automate test procedures, create and maintain robust test plans, and perform functionality, performance, stress, and reliability tests across Linux and Windows environments.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in server hardware and computer architecture, with 1-2 years of validation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in EE or CE from an accredited institution.
• 1-2 years' proven experience as an Application Validation Engineer or in a relevant field.
• Proficient in Python, C, C++, Shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of Server Hardware (CPU/GPU/MEM/PCIe/Storage) and Computer Architecture, with knowledge of Networking/TCPIP.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience in server firmware development/validation is a plus (BIOS/BMC/CPLD/EEPROM).
• Experience in hyper-scale, data center and/or rack level validation/deployment/operation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Validation Testing: validate motherboards, server systems and components for quality and compliance.
• Test Automation: develop utilities and automate test script procedures to improve efficiency.
• Test Plan Development: maintain validation test plans and instructions.
• Testing Spectrum: perform functionality, compatibility, performance, stress and reliability tests.
• Data Analysis and Documentation: document results and report QA issues via bug tracking systems.
• OS Support and Analysis: analyze drivers/apps for Linux and Windows.
• Issue Resolution: collaborate with stakeholders to address quality issues.
