Job summary

King's Fish House is seeking friendly servers to guide Guests through a memorable dining experience, presenting seasonal dishes, regional favorites and signature drinks. Staff training starts on hire to ensure you become an ambassador of seafood, wine and craft cocktails, delivering consistent, high-quality service.

You will work in a team-focused environment with daily responsibilities, including taking orders, delivering meals, and maintaining restaurant standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Minimum 1 year service experience.
• Wine/cocktail knowledge.
• High school graduate.
• CA Food Handler’s Card required.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of service standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening duties as assigned.
• Take Guests' food and beverage orders, utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
• Input orders into point-of-sale system.
• Legibly document orders when POS is inoperative and communicate with expeditor.
• Retrieve all alcoholic beverage items from bar and serve to Guest.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned station and service areas.
• Open wine/champagne bottles for Guests at table.
• Serve all food courses and non-alcoholic beverages to Guest using correct coursing procedure.
• Acknowledge guests, anticipate needs and respond promptly.
• Interact in courteous and professional manner with Guests, management and co-workers.
• Complete server close out per restaurant standards and report tips at shift end.
• Complete closing duties as assigned.
