Job summary

King's Fish House in Long Beach seeks friendly servers to guide guests through an exceptional dining experience featuring seasonal dishes, regional favorites, and craft cocktails.

You will be trained to provide knowledgeable service in a team environment and to uphold our service standards. This role offers weekly earnings estimates of $500–$1,100 plus tips, with premium benefits and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages with food.
• Minimum 1 year service experience.
• Some wine/cocktail knowledge.
• Current CA Food Handler’s Card.
• Ability to communicate English with Guests and staff.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Must meet service standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Take Guests' food and beverage orders using suggestive selling techniques.
• Input orders into the point-of-sale system.
• Document orders when POS is unavailable and coordinate with expeditor.
• Serve alcoholic beverages from the bar to guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station and service areas.
• Open wine/champagne bottles at table and serve courses to guests.
• Acknowledge guests, anticipate needs, and respond promptly.
• Interact courteously with guests, management and coworkers.
• Process payments and assist with table resets and closing duties.
