Job summary

King's Fish House is hiring servers to guide guests through a memorable dining experience, presenting seasonal dishes, regional favorites, and craft cocktails. You will join a team-focused environment with comprehensive training and tips-based pay in a hospitality-driven culture.

We seek energetic, guest-focused individuals who communicate well, work efficiently during busy periods, and contribute to an exceptional dining experience with every table.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol.
• Minimum 1 year of service experience.
• Some wine/cocktail knowledge.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current CA Food Handler’s Card.
• Clear spoken and written English with Guests and team.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Maintain knowledge of service standards.

Responsibilities

• Take guests' food and beverage orders using suggestive selling.
• Input orders into the POS system and verify accuracy.
• Document orders legibly when POS is inoperative and notify expeditor.
• Retrieve alcoholic beverages from bar and serve to guests.
• Keep station and service areas clean and organized.
• Open wine/champagne bottles for guests at table.
• Serve all courses and non-alcoholic beverages with proper pacing.
• Acknowledge guests, anticipate needs, and respond promptly.
• Interact courteously with guests, management, and coworkers.
• Process payments following restaurant standards.
• Support table resets and indicate completion and accuracy.
• Close out shifts per restaurant standards and report tips.
