Position Summary

You will be responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines, and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs.

Assist the cook in the preparation and service of meals, ensuring scheduled meal times are met following established policies and procedures within the dietary department to ensure residents receive the highest quality of service.

Essential Job Functions

1. Assist cook/supervisor with food preparation and service following specific procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
2. Deliver residents’ meal carts, and set up and clean assigned dining areas to serve residents.
3. Accurately record refrigerator temperatures; clean and stock as needed.
4. Wash and store dishes, maintaining sanitation and kitchen cleanliness.
5. Follow all Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1 year food service experience preferred
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to communicate clearly at all levels within the community
• Desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents, understanding their unique needs
• Ability to follow directions and complete assignments
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• ServSafe certification is desirable

Education Requirement

High school diploma or GED

Additional Information

Hourly Wage: $15 per hour
