Job summary

CSAT Solutions LP is seeking a Failure Analysis Technician to support engineers in investigating failures in AI server assemblies and related components. You will review symptoms, repair history and diagnostics to guide troubleshooting, perform visual inspections and use approved test methods to reproduce and isolate failures.

You will assist with BIOS/firmware updates, read Bash scripts, and document findings with measurements and images.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology or related field preferred.
• 1+ year of electronics troubleshooting, diagnostics, testing or repair.
• Basic understanding of server hardware, components and power circuits.
• Ability to read schematics, engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu environments.
• Familiarity with BIOS and firmware updates per documented procedures.
• Ability to read Bash scripts and identify test issues.
• Proficient English abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.

Responsibilities

• Supports engineers with investigating failures in AI server assemblies, circuit boards and related components.
• Reviews reported symptoms, repair history and diagnostic results to establish initial troubleshooting.
• Performs visual inspections to identify physical damage, contamination, connector defects and abnormal conditions.
• Supports failure reproduction and isolation by understanding server test sequences and prerequisites.
• Runs approved diagnostics, collects logs and system information to reproduce failures and isolate hardware or configuration.
• Troubleshoots basic BIOS, driver, firmware, and software configuration issues using documented procedures.
• Reviews diagnostic logs and test results to identify unresolved problems and escalate to engineers.
• Installs approved drivers and BIOS/firmware updates per procedures.
• Uses approved substitution and isolation methods to identify failing assemblies or components.
• Performs basic electrical measurements using DMMs and approved equipment.
• Documents findings, measurements, photos, and evidence in tracking systems.
• Provides findings to repair and test teams and escalates unusual failures to engineers.
• Helps engineers identify failure trends and validate corrective actions.
