Job summary

SMS InfoComm Corporation seeks an FA Engineer to provide technical support for production, perform first level failure analysis on customer products, and investigate root causes with thorough documentation and internal communication.

The role includes setting up repair lines, coordinating with global teams, and preparing parts for second-level analysis, with emphasis on strong communication and hands-on hardware skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3+ years FA engineering experience.
• Hands-on hardware assembly/disassembly on computing devices.

Responsibilities

• Have knowledge of Windows, Android, CMD and Linux tools used in production repair and failure analysis.
• Assist in setting up repair line with tools and ESD grounding.
• Communicate effectively and solve problems; apply experience.
• Identify optimal analytical approaches for problems.
• Coordinate with local and overseas teams via email and conference calls.
• Prepare parts for second level failure analysis.
• Work inside customer lab.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintain positive work environment and contribute to safe, productive workplace.
• Foster healthy relationships with customers and suppliers; ensure smooth collaboration.
