Job summary

Foxconn Assembly, LLC is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to investigate hardware failures in industry standard servers. You will work with cross‑functional teams to identify root causes at the PCB and system levels and drive corrective actions for field and manufacturing issues.

The role requires strong circuit troubleshooting, OS familiarity (Windows/Linux), and experience with diagnostic tools. Day/Swing shifts are available in San Jose, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years debugging complex hardware using diagnostic tools.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and testing equipment.
• CAD, schematic capture, and PCB layout knowledge.
• Understanding of server hardware, PCA, RMA, and service environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate significant customer returns and field failures related to hardware.
• Identify root causes at the component level and collaborate with design/manufacturing teams.
• Support corrective actions and improve product quality.
• Facilitate ARDAP, Early Field Capture, and Selective Field Capture programs.
• Create documentation and share failure analysis techniques with teams.
• Drive best practices across global RMA and service centers.
