Job summary

Hudson House, a Vandelay Companies restaurant in Dallas, is seeking a friendly Server Assistant to support our service team and maintain a clean, welcoming dining room for guests. You will assist servers, bartenders and hosts, help run food and beverages, and ensure health standards are met.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills and work ethic.
• Team-oriented with punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a positive, respectful demeanor toward guests and colleagues.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• TABC Certification, as required.
• Certified for food and alcohol service as is required by State and Local Agencies.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall cleanliness of the restaurant and service areas.
• Assist servers, bartenders and hosts when needed and understands food descriptions and ingredients of menu items.
• Run food from the kitchen to guest tables after ensuring each course is complete and accurate
• Run beverages from the bar to guest tables and ensure beverages are always full
• Remove used dishes and silverware from guest tables between courses and after guests leave the table.
• Communicate with server, bartenders and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and guest service.
• Maintain cleanliness of all tables and chairs in assigned service area and resets vacated tables.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
