Job summary

Hudson House Rice Village is hiring a Server Assistant to support our service team and maintain a clean, welcoming dining room. You will help servers and bartenders, ensure smooth course delivery, and anticipate guest needs in a fast-paced environment.

We seek detail-oriented, reliable teammates who communicate well, stay punctual, and uphold health and safety standards. TABC and state food/alcohol service certifications are required where applicable.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
Detail-oriented with strong communication skills and work ethic.
Team-oriented with punctuality and reliability.
Able to navigate a fast-paced environment with a positive, respectful attitude toward guests and colleagues.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
TABC Certification, as required.
Certified for food and alcohol service as required by state and local agencies.

Responsibilities

Maintain overall cleanliness of restaurant and service areas.
Assist servers, bartenders and hosts; know menu items.
Run food from kitchen to tables after course completion.
Run beverages to tables; ensure beverages are always full.
Clear used dishes and silverware between courses and after guests leave.
Coordinate with server, bartender and hostess to ensure efficient seating and service.
Maintain cleanliness of all tables and chairs; reset vacated tables.
Perform general cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
