Job summary

Casa Reina Taqueria & Tequila in St. Augustine is hiring servers to support a new concept in the heart of the city. You will take orders, serve meals and drinks, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Training is provided to help you grow with the team.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prefer a minimum of one year of previous serving experience.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written).
• Must have a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry food trays for prolonged periods of time.
• Demonstrating a high level of organization, cleanliness and a sense-of-urgency.
• Flexible schedule - ability to work days, nights, weekends & holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages, take orders, deliver and clear items.
• Check station setup for cleanliness before, during and after shift.
• Greet guests, explain specials and promotions.
• Enter orders into the POS system and relay details to kitchen.
• Deliver correct orders and check guest satisfaction throughout service.
• Ensure compliance with liquor policies and safety regulations.
• Maintain company standards and a positive team attitude.

Come join a local restaurant group as we launch a new concept in the heart of St. Augustine, Casa Reina Taqueria & Tequila. Creative Mexican fare, tequila-centric cocktails & first-class design elements will pay tribute to the venue – an iconic, 19th century Spanish Colonial Revival building with panoramic views of the bayfront & Bridge of Lions.

We are NOW HIRING SERVERS. You’ll become part of a team that has successfully owned & operated high-volume restaurants in St. Augustine for over 20 years (Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille, Salt Life Food Shack).

• Service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking, delivery and clearing of any food and/or beverage items
• Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
• Greets the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness
• Takes the order and inputs the order into the Point of Sale computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars of the order
• Retrieves order from kitchen, confirms its accuracy and delivers it to guests
• Ascertain guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Abide by all state, federal regulations and restaurant liquor policies pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
• Ability to work with a positive attitude in a team atmosphere.
• Dedication to becoming a "seller" and not an "order taker".
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to all company specs and quality standards.
• Understands the importance of practicing safety and sanitation policies at all times.
