Job summary

The Clement Hotel Palo Alto is seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our luxury dining team. You will greet guests, take and deliver orders, and ensure an outstanding guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include accurate order taking, timely delivery of food and beverages, maintaining a clean work area, and anticipating guest needs. 21+ and valid food handlers/alcohol server cert required; emphasis on English fluency and discreet service.

Qualifications

• Previous server or similar role experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• 2+ years serving/bartending experience; fine dining or luxury hotel preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food, beverages, and menu education.
• Fluent English; bilingual preferred.
• Able to work flexible schedule including late nights, weekends, holidays.

Description of the role:

The Clement Hotel Palo Alto is seeking a skilled Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that guests have an unforgettable dining experience.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
• Ensure that guests have a positive experience by anticipating their needs
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Server or in a similar role
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• 2+ years directly related to serving and/or bartending experience is required; those with fine dining, upscale and/or luxury hotel experience will be strongly preferred.
• Must possess well rounded food and beverage knowledge (including food allergies, craft cocktails, wine, beer, whiskey, etc.) with a strong ability to educate our guests on our menu offerings
• Must be an excellent communicator with fluency in English required; those with bi-lingual abilities will be preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will include late nights, weekends and holidays
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid food handlers and alcohol server certification
