Job summary

Pacific Catch in Mountain View, CA is seeking experienced servers for part-time, hourly positions. Weekend availability is a must to support busy shifts.

You will greet guests, present the drink menu, take orders, serve with hospitality, up-sell when possible, and handle POS transactions accurately to ensure a smooth dining experience for every Guest. Candidates should have a high school diploma; hospitality degrees are a plus; standing and light lifting are required.

Qualifications

• High school education required; hospitality or related degrees are a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in restaurant or customer service preferred.
• Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Present drink menu, make recommendations, take orders, promptly serve food and drink, and check in with Guests regarding their experience; upsell whenever possible.
• Record drink or food orders accurately into POS and process Guest payments with correct change.
• Maintain Guests' table throughout the meal; clear wrappers, napkins, glasses, dishes, and silverware as necessary.

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Hours may be different every week and schedules are not set or guaranteed. Weekend availability is a must.

Compensation

$19.70 Per Hour

Requirements

• Ensure a good Guest experience--present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages; take orders; promptly serve food and drink, and check in with Guests regarding their experience; up-sell whenever possible
• Record drink or food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS. Accept and process Guest payment and make the correct change as applicable
• Efficiently maintain your guest’s table throughout the meal. Clear chopstick wrappers, dirty napkins, dirty glasses, dirty dishes, and dirty silverware, as necessary

Education / Experience

• High school education is required; Hospitality or other degrees are a plus
• Minimum 1-year experience in the restaurant/customer service industry preferred

PHYSICAL

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
