Job summary

Pacific Catch is seeking a Bartender in Sunnyvale to deliver first-class service and hospitality. You will expertly mix cocktails, beers, and wines, engage guests, and upsell where appropriate to enhance the dining experience.

The role is part-time and hourly, with weekend availability required and shifts typically Thursday through Sunday evenings. Compensation starts at $19.50 per hour, with a friendly team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer and wine.
• Take orders, upsell, and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Record orders in POS and handle payments.
• Ability to fill in as a server when needed.
• Maintain bar inventory and cleanliness.
• Stand for up to 5 hours; lift up to 35 pounds.

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Hours may be different every week and schedules are not set or guaranteed. Weekend availability is a must. Ideal candidates will be available Thursday - Sunday 4pm to close availability

Compensation

$19.50 Per Hour

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including recipes, history, base ingredients, and jiggers
• Ensure a good Guest experience--present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages; take orders; promptly serve food and drink, and check in with Guests regarding their experience; up-sell whenever possible
• Record drink or food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS; Accept and process Guest payment and make the correct change as applicable.
• Fill in as a server as directed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Restaurant
• Maintain inventory and bar supplies; assist in restocking and replenishing
• Ensure the cleanliness of the bar area (counters, tables, equipment, floors, etc.) always
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. Wash and sterilize glassware as needed

Education / Experience

• High school education is required; Hospitality or other degrees are a plus
• Minimum 1-year experience in the restaurant/customer service industry preferred

PHYSICAL

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
