Job summary

Pacific Catch is seeking a friendly Bartender to deliver first-class service and hospitality to guests. This role requires knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, with the ability to upsell and guide guests through drink selections.

You will support the team, handle drink orders accurately, and assist in maintaining a clean, welcoming bar area. Weekend availability is required for this part-time, hourly position.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including recipes, history, base ingredients, and jiggers.
• Provide excellent guest service, recommend drinks, upsell when possible.
• Accurately take and process drink orders and payments, maintaining POS accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Present drink menu, make recommendations, answer questions about beverages.
• Take orders, promptly serve food and drink, check guest satisfaction.
• Record orders in POS and handle payments with correct change.

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Hours may be different every week and schedules are not set or guaranteed.

Weekend availability is a must.

Compensation

$17.81 Per Hour

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including recipes, history, base ingredients, and jiggers
• Ensure a good Guest experience--present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages; take orders; promptly serve food and drink, and check in with Guests regarding their experience; up-sell whenever possible
• Record drink or food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS; Accept and process Guest payment and make the correct change as applicable.
• Fill in as a server as directed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Restaurant
• Maintain inventory and bar supplies; assist in restocking and replenishing
• Ensure the cleanliness of the bar area (counters, tables, equipment, floors, etc.) always
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. Wash and sterilize glassware as needed

Education / Experience

• High school education is required; Hospitality or other degrees are a plus
• Minimum 1-year experience in the restaurant/customer service industry preferred

PHYSICAL

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
