Job summary

Pacific Catch in Palo Alto is seeking a part-time Host to welcome guests, seat them promptly, present menus, and answer phones with a friendly, professional demeanor. This role requires weekend availability and a can-do attitude in a fast-paced restaurant.

You will work under the General Manager, uphold our hospitality standards, operate OpenTable and POS systems, and handle cash with accuracy. Prior restaurant or customer service experience is preferred, and a positive, team-first mindset is

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Hours may be different every week and schedules are not set or guaranteed. Weekend availability is a must.

COMPENSATION

$18.70 Per Hour

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to provide top-notch hospitality in a fast-paced environment
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant Team Members
• Be the face of Pacific Catch, engaging with Guests, inviting Guests in, seating Guests, introducing the menu, and answering the phone
• Adaptable, flexible, and able to manage a heavy workload. Ability to prioritize well and remember all Guest requests
• Embraces all Pacific Catch's Core Values, Hospitality Standards, and Team Member Standards
• Ability to operate a POS system and Open Table Software
• Ability to accurately handle cash and all financial transactions

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• High school education is required; Hospitality or other degrees are a plus
• Minimum 1-year experience in the restaurant/customer service industry preferred

PHYSICAL

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
