Job summary

Pacific Catch in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking part-time servers who deliver first-class guest experiences with hospitality. You will present drink menus, take and relay orders via POS, upsell when appropriate, and ensure guests are cared for throughout their visit.

This role is hourly and non-exempt, with weekend availability required. Compensation starts at $19.50 per hour, with opportunities to grow through the Pacific Catch team and participate in a fun, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; hospitality or other degrees are a plus.
• Minimum 1 year experience in restaurant/customer service preferred.
• Experience working with a full bar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages; take orders; promptly serve and check in with Guests; upsell when possible.
• Record drink or food orders accurately in POS and process payments with correct change.
• Maintain guest tables throughout the meal; clear trash and dirty items as needed.

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Hours may be different every week and schedules are not set or guaranteed.

Weekend availability (Friday, Saturday AND Sundays) are a must.

Compensation

$19.50 per hour

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Ensure a good Guest experience--present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages; take orders; promptly serve food and drink, and check in with Guests regarding their experience; up-sell whenever possible
• Record drink or food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS. Accept and process Guest payment and make the correct change as applicable
• Efficiently maintain your guest’s table throughout the meal. Clear chopstick wrappers, dirty napkins, dirty glasses, dirty dishes, and dirty silverware, as necessary

Education / Experience

• High school education is required; Hospitality or other degrees are a plus
• Minimum 1-year experience in the restaurant/customer service industry preferred
• Experience working with full bar a plus

PHYSICAL

• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds
