Job summary

SSP America at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport is seeking a server to take orders, serve beverages and food, process payments, and maintain a clean, efficient dining area. The role includes paid vacation and sick time, full-time hours, and free parking.

Ideal candidates are 18+, proficient in English, and able to handle cash and POS transactions. The position emphasizes guest service, accuracy in order entry, and the ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage prep and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Verbal and written English language proficiency.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English for guest communication and order taking.
• Basic math to operate a cash register, make change, and balance cash drops.
• Brand certification as required.
• Ability to operate keyboard & POS procedures to pre-check, order, and close out a check.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from customers and give correct change.
• Serve drinks and a variety of food items to guests.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Keep the work area clean and organized throughout the shift.
• Clean equipment and utensils; remove trash, sweep and mop as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Server:

• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day.
• Clean equipment and utensils, removes trash, sweep and mop work area, dust and clean.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this position has:

• Minimum of 18 years old
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Verbal and written English language
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand weights and measurements.
• Brand certification as required.
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check and order & close out a check.
• Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time.
