Job summary

SSP America is hiring a Server to join our team at the Detroit Metro Wayne County Airport. You will take orders, assist guests, and contribute to a fast-paced dining environment.

We offer $10.45 per hour plus tips, full benefits, and career development opportunities. This full-time role includes training and growth within SSP America's network of restaurants.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders accurately and input into POS.
• Explain menu items, specials, and services to guests.
• Prepare dishes for service, including soups, salads, pies, and coffee.
• Monitor guests and respond to requests promptly.
• Clear and reset tables and counters at the end of each course.
• Balance, reconcile, and collect payments for checks.

Here are a few things you can expect as a Server at SSP America:

• Answer questions and offer suggestions regarding food, beverages, and services of the facility
• Accurately input orders into the POS system
• Prepare dishes for service, to include ladling soup, tossing salads, cutting portions of pie and desserts, and brewing coffee
• Observe guests to anticipate their needs and respond to any additional requests
• Clear all dishes away from table
• Balance and reconcile all assigned open and closed checks by totaling bills and accepting payments
• Clear and reset all counters or tables at the conclusion of each course
