Job summary

SSP America is hiring a Server to join the team at CVG Airport. This full-time position involves taking orders, serving a variety of beverages and food items, processing payments, and maintaining a clean work area.

The role requires basic alcohol service knowledge, strong English communication, and reliable cash handling abilities. Ideal candidates are 18+, able to stand for long periods, and willing to work in a fast-paced airport environment.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Verbal and written English language.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, and count cash.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day.
• Clean equipment and utensils, remove trash, sweep and mop work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Server:

• Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
• Receive payment from the customer and process change.
• Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks as well as a wide variety of food items to guests.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Ensure that the work area is clean throughout the day.
• Clean equipment and utensils, removes trash, sweep and mop work area, dust and clean.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this position has:

• Minimum of 18 years old
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Verbal and written English language
• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and take orders.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand weights and measurements.
• Brand certification as required.
• Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check and order & close out a check.
• Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time.
