Job summary

UNC Greensboro is seeking a Web Content – SEO / GEO Specialist to optimize our marketing web properties for search visibility and AI-enabled responses. You will work with web content, copywriting, and digital marketing teams to drive qualified organic traffic and improve visibility to prospective students.

The role focuses on technical and content SEO, GEO strategies, and collaboration across campus to implement best practices that increase search rankings and AI citation for university programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a closely related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or web content.
• Proficiency with SEO tools and GA4 for traffic analysis.
• Working knowledge of on-page and technical SEO principles.
• Familiarity with content management systems and web publishing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy for the University’s main marketing web properties.
• Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and search demand analysis to identify high-value opportunities.
• Perform on-page SEO optimization for titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, and image alt text.
• Partner with content teams to integrate keyword strategy into new and existing content.
• Monitor search performance using Google Search Console, SEO tools, and GA4.
