Job summary

Pump is seeking an SEO/AEO Manager to own organic growth across traditional search and AI answer engines. You will drive the end-to-end channel, from keyword research to content briefs and technical SEO, with a focus on AI-enabled visibility and cloud-savings topics.

The role requires 3–6 years in SEO, hands-on experience with AI answer engines, and strong CMS skills (Webflow or Framer). This is a full-time, onsite position based in San Francisco with competitive compensation and equity.

Qualifications

3–6 years in SEO, ideally in-house at a B2B SaaS company.
Hands-on experience optimizing for AI answer engines.
Strong technical SEO skills; comfortable working in a CMS like Webflow or Framer.
Fluent with tools like Ahrefs or Semrush, Google Search Console, and GA4.
Data-driven, with a track record of growing organic pipeline, not just traffic.

Responsibilities

Own Pump's SEO and AEO strategy from keyword research to rankings, citations, and pipeline.
Plan and brief content with the content team to win high-intent searches (AWS, GCP, Azure pricing, savings plans).
Lead technical SEO: site structure, schema, page speed, indexing, and internal linking.
Track and grow how often Pump is cited in AI-generated answers and run experiments to improve it.
Build backlinks and digital PR with partners, customers, and publications.
Report on organic traffic, AI visibility, and the pipeline they drive.
