Job summary

Profound is hiring an organic growth expert to own AEO and SEO from our New York office. You will lead growth through AI answer engines and traditional search, turning visibility into qualified demand and pipeline.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Content, and Engineering to publish timely insights, optimize site performance, and show customers what effective AEO looks like in practice. Expect rapid experimentation and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO or organic growth with a program
• Hands-on AEO experiments and measurement
• Technical SEO to diagnose problems and work with engineers
• Strong editorial judgment for briefs and content decisions
• Ability to build or adapt workflows using APIs or automation tools

Responsibilities

• Own our organic growth strategy and roadmaps across AI answer engines and traditional search.
• Turn data into published content by leveraging search demand, citations, and gaps.
• Collaborate with Web, Content, and Engineering on crawlability, indexing, rendering, and structured data.
• Build presence beyond the website by engaging publications and communities.
• Run disciplined experiments and document outcomes with evidence.
• Develop repeatable workflows using Profound’s AI Marketer for research, audits, and reporting.
• Forecast market needs and what moves buyers toward evaluation or purchase.
• Connect visibility to business results with measurable metrics and attribution.
• Share product feedback to shape Profound’s development and playbooks.
• Define the Marketing Engineer role and publish learnings for industry dialogue.
