Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Section Manager 2 to lead a functional team in the AC/E/IFC department on the Sentinel program in Roy, Utah. The role blends functional management with hands-on technical work on a challenging aerospace project.

Qualified candidates will have a STEM degree and Secret clearance, with extensive SE/IS&T experience, and a track record of team leadership and staffing activities in a multi-location environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a Master’s.
• US Citizenship with active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval.
• Experience with Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test processes.
• 3+ years experience in ICBMs (MMIII or Sentinel).
• 5+ years of electrical and systems engineering experience.
• 2+ years experience Electrical Design Integration (EDI) and/or Interface Control Model (ICM) development experience.
• 2+ years experience leading teams in a functional, programmatic, or technical capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead a functional team within the AC/E/IFC department across multiple locations.
• Spend ~20% on Functional Homeroom responsibilities and ~80% on a technical SDS project.
• Support staffing, recruitment activities, interviews and offers.
• Provide career development, mentoring and performance evaluations.
