Job summary

Our client, a leader in the defense and commercial sensor industry, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their Sensors Test Engineering team in Minnesota. You will build and troubleshoot test hardware, supporting design validation and production processes.

The ideal candidate has an AA/AS degree with at least four years of relevant experience and hands-on skills in cable assemblies, test boxes, and testing equipment.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree or equivalent post-high school training with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience building complex cable assemblies, test boxes, and systems (aviation/defense preferred).
• Proficiency with soldering, crimping, and testing equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wire lists; follow electrical codes.
• Strong communication and proactive troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble test hardware including cables, valve boxes, control boxes, and interface boxes according to engineering drawings.
• Support the development and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical test systems for sensor products.
• Review and update test system designs, schematics, and documentation to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Diagnose and repair issues with test equipment and hardware to maintain operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and technicians to resolve technical challenges and improve testing processes.
