Police Athletic League seeks a Center Director to lead Armory Center programming in New York City, ensuring safe, inclusive afterschool operations, mental health support, and strong partnerships with schools and community partners.

The role requires program management, staff supervision, and a commitment to youth development. Evening and weekend availability, bilingual abilities preferred, with a competitive salary and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or NYS credential required with youth experience under 13.
• Two+ years supervisory experience in youth programming.
• Knowledge of DYCD Connect preferred and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee PAL Teen Afterschool Programming and mental health inclusion.
• Recruit, hire and supervise part-time staff and coordinators.
• Ensure compliance with SACC regulations, funding contracts, and fire safety standards.
• Develop youth development culture and provide staff coaching on SEL and inclusion.
• Coordinate with school partners and city agencies for program opportunities.
• Plan citywide events and assist in grant development and proposals.
