Job summary

YMCA of South Hampton Roads is seeking an Executive Director to guide day-to-day operations, oversee two locations, and lead cause-driven initiatives. The role emphasizes budget stewardship, program development, fundraising, and staff and volunteer leadership.

The Executive Director will drive organizational growth, ensure program excellence, and build strong partnerships to strengthen the community served by the YMCA in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• Ten or more years of successful management experience, preferably in YMCA or nonprofit health and wellness.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Ability to lead assigned operations including staff development and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual budget targets and oversee two YMCA locations.
• Develop and grow district programs and services.
• Recruit, train, supervise employees and volunteers; evaluate performance.
