Job summary

YMCA of South Hampton Roads seeks an Executive Director to oversee daily operations, lead staff and volunteers, and drive fiscal performance across childcare, events, and programming. The role emphasizes community engagement, fundraising leadership, and strategic collaboration with home office leaders.

The successful candidate will guide budgeting, program development, safety standards, and member engagement while advancing the association’s mission and values within a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Strong business operations background with a proven track record for growth, annual giving and strong financial management.
• Bachelor's Degree in a child-related field or Sports Management/Recreation/Health Sciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations under Executive Director.
• Develop, manage, and achieve the budget expectations for childcare programs, events, rentals, sports and aquatic programming.
• Assist with fundraising efforts and support board development.
• Oversee property management and facilities maintenance.
• Represent and promote the YMCA in the local community.
