Job summary

Hims & Hers in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Senior Safety Specialist to lead and strengthen our workplace safety programs. You will identify hazards, ensure regulatory compliance, and build a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.

The ideal candidate has deep technical safety knowledge, strong communication and leadership skills, and a track record of driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive occupational health and safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regs and safety standards (ANSI, NFPA, EPA).
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to train and influence staff.
• Proficiency with safety management software and MS Office/Google tools.
• Familiarity with ergonomics assessments and behavior-based safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs in compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
• Lead safety audits, JHAs, and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
• Lead incident investigations and root-cause analyses with corrective actions.
• Track safety metrics and report insights to leadership for continuous improvement.
• Design and deliver safety training for new hires and ongoing programs.
• Oversee regulated and biohazard waste programs; maintain SDS docs.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and HR to embed safety in processes.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and drills.
