Job summary

Movement Search & Delivery is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to lead site safety initiatives at our New Jersey manufacturing facility. This hands-on role builds relationships on the shop floor, develops team capability, and drives accountability across the operation.

The ideal candidate brings progressive EH&S experience in manufacturing, strong regulatory knowledge, and a practical leadership style.

Qualifications

• Progressive EH&S experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong safety expertise including hazard recognition, incident prevention, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading a small team or supervising EH&S professionals.
• Ability to influence plant leaders, supervisors, and hourly employees.
• Practical, visible leadership style and willingness to spend significant time on the production floor.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental science, engineering, or related discipline; CSP or ASP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site’s EH&S programs, with a strong emphasis on workplace safety and injury prevention.
• Manage, coach, and develop a small safety team.
• Partner with operations, engineering, maintenance, and plant leadership to identify hazards and implement practical solutions.
• Drive incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and timely corrective actions.
• Lead safety training, inspections, audits, and emergency preparedness activities.
• Maintain compliance with applicable OSHA requirements and federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Track safety performance and use data to prioritize improvements.
• Strengthen employee engagement and reinforce consistent safety expectations throughout the facility.
