gategroup is seeking a dedicated Safety and Compliance Representative in Newark, NJ to support and monitor the Environmental, Health and Safety program at the unit. The role focuses on preventing injuries, enforcing environmental compliance, and ensuring procedures meet customer requirements.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and at least 3 years in safety/risk roles, with strong training, auditing, andcommunication skills. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety and/or risk management.
• Experience in airline, food processing, or distribution environments is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Supports and monitors the Environmental, Health and Safety program.
• Conducts safety training for employees including new hires and refresher sessions.
• Maintains training matrix and ensures current documentation.
• Investigates accidents and injuries and supports corrective actions.
• Communicates prevention steps and safety alerts to management.
• Ensures OSHA compliance and participates in audits and meetings.
• Supports Pride and Squad safety initiatives within unit and region.
