TMA is recruiting for a Senior Designer with 5+ years of experience in commercial workplace interiors to join our New York team.
Senior Designer – Workplace/Commercial interiors
Key Responsibilities:
- As a seasoned design professional with large, complex or institutional experience you will be expected to seek the highest standards of design and technical excellence and provide strategic project execution.
- Lead commercial workplace interior design projects from programming through construction administration.
- Develop space planning, test fits, and design concepts for office environments.
- Guide design direction and evaluate solutions based on client and project goals.
- Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, and systems for commercial interiors.
- Produce and oversee construction documentation sets (plans, elevations, details).
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, and project teams on technical coordination.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial interior design or interior architecture (workplace preferred).
- Proven experience in producing construction documents and detailing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (required).
- Experience with Revit-based 3D modeling and rendering workflows (e.g. Enscape or similar)
- Experience working on built commercial projects (not just conceptual work)
- Hand sketching and conceptual visualization skills.
- Adobe Photoshop and InDesign knowledge.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and project coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing and implementing comprehensive workplace strategies for corporate clients.
- Familiarity with hybrid workplace planning, utilization trends, and activity-based working environments.
- Interest in researching emerging industry trends and best practices to inform workplace strategies and design solutions.
- LEED AP / WELL AP accreditation
