Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture.
• 6–10 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience delivering commercial interiors, workplaces, hospitality, or amenity projects.
• Excellent technical detailing and construction documentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit with working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of NYC building codes and construction processes.
• Strong communication and consultant coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design development across all project phases.
• Produce and coordinate detailed drawing packages and Revit models per BIM standards.
• Develop technical detailing, construction solutions, and material specifications.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders through delivery.
• Manage construction administration, including site coordination and RFIs.
• Ensure documentation complies with NYC codes, ADA, and QA/QC standards.
• Mentor junior team members and maintain technical excellence.

A highly respected architecture and interiors practice is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join its Commercial Interiors team in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical designer who enjoys translating design intent into well-resolved, buildable solutions. Working across all project phases, from schematic design through to construction administration, you will play a key role in design development, technical detailing, consultant coordination, and project delivery. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality documentation, developing Revit models, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical and design standards.
