Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Workface Planner in Houston to coordinate IWPs and AWPs with engineering, procurement, and construction teams. You will support CWE initiatives and drive improvements in planning, scheduling, and execution on a major API manufacturing facility project.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of related experience (or more). You will work onsite in Houston, ensuring safety and alignment with project milestones and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years in lieu.
• Experience in construction, field engineering, or project planning environments.
• Strong understanding of AWPP and scheduling concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and manage Installation Work Packages (IWPs) and update them as the project progresses.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to remove constraints.
• Interface with field engineering, supervision, and subcontractors to align priorities.
• Maintain planning data and schedules in project systems aligned with milestones.
• Analyze project metrics and propose improvements to workface planning.
• Support CWE programs and related tools and initiatives.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication on scope, priorities, and execution plans.
• Identify planning gaps and collaborate across teams to resolve issues.
