Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a Workers Compensation Litigated Claims Specialist II to join our high-performing Claims team. The role supports multi-state WC litigated claims with emphasis on Indiana and Illinois, with hybrid schedule in Schaumburg and remote in Indiana.

You will manage moderate to high exposure claims, determine compensability, work with defense counsel, and ensure timely resolutions while upholding customer-centric service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and 3+ years in Claims or Insurance.
• Must obtain/maintain required adjuster license(s).
• Experience handling litigated workers’ compensation claims in multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience collaborating with defense counsel and mediations, settlement conferences, and ADR.

Responsibilities

• Document claims file with accurate data per best practices.
• Determine compensability and coverage by analyzing relevant facts and applicable law.
• Develop case strategy and case evaluation for timely resolution.
• Establish timely reserves and review throughout claims cycle within authority limits.
• Assess damages and negotiate settlements within authority.
• Meet quality standards and follow best practices.
