Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an experienced Sr. Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist to join our hybrid team in Las Vegas, NV, or remote within the U.S.

The role handles multi-party claims of moderate to high exposure, focusing on efficient, customer-centric service. Responsibilities include documenting claims, determining liability and coverage, building case strategy, setting reserves, evaluating damages, and negotiating settlements within authority.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years experience in the Claims/Litigation Management area.
• Juris Doctor and 2+ years of experience in the Claims/Litigation Management area.
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree with 6+ years of experience in the Claims/Litigation Management area.
• Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program and 6+ years of experience in the Claims/Litigation Management area.
• High School Diploma Equivalent and 8+ years of experience in the Claims and/ or Litigation Management area.
• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
• Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets and products

Responsibilities

• Document claims file with accurate data per best practices.
• Exercise judgment to determine liability by gathering relevant facts and applicable law.
• Determine policy verification and coverage by analyzing applicable coverage.
• Develop case strategy and evaluation for timely resolution.
• Establish timely reserves and review claims within authority limits.
• Assess damages and calculate applicable ranges.
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits.
• Meet quality standards by following best practices
