Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an experienced Sr. Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist to join the team in a hybrid role based in Las Vegas, NV, or remote in the U.S. with NV jurisdiction expertise.

The role handles multi-party personal or commercial line WC claims of moderate to high exposure and complexity, ensuring efficient, customer-centric service. You will document files, analyze liability and coverage, develop case strategy, set reserves, and negotiate settlements within authority

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or JD with experience in Claims/Litigation management
• Zurich Apprenticeship or related Zurich training with experience
• High exposure/complex Workers’ Comp claims experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Document claims file with accurate data and keep updated.
• Assess liability and coverage by reviewing facts and applicable law.
• Verify policy coverage and determine if loss falls within coverage.
• Develop case strategy and evaluation for timely resolutions.
• Establish reserves within authority and review claims throughout the cycle.
• Assess damages and negotiate settlements within authority limits.
• Maintain quality standards by following best practices.
