Job summary

Pie Insurance is seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to independently manage workers’ compensation claims from setup to closure and to handle high-dollar, complex cases. You will work with internal and external partners to deliver best-in-class outcomes and mentor junior adjusters.

This remote role requires a strong licensing background across applicable states, regulatory knowledge, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years workers’ compensation claim adjusting experience.
• Active licensing in applicable states.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong communication skills for complex information.
• Ability to mentor junior adjusters.

Responsibilities

• Manage workers’ compensation claims from set-up to closure.
• Evaluate high-dollar, high-exposure, complex claims.
• Conduct timely 3-point contact investigations.
• Mitigate exposure and negotiate settlements.
• Present claims to senior management and stakeholders.
• Administer statutory benefits throughout life of the claim.
• Improve claims operations, SOPs, and processes.
• Coordinate with defense counsel to manage costs.
