Job summary

Pie Insurance is seeking a skilled Claims Adjuster to manage workers’ compensation claims from inception to closure with a focus on favorable outcomes and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to drive best-in-class claims service.

This remote role is available to qualified candidates across the United States, with strong emphasis on CA claims experience, and a compensation range of $80,000 to $100,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with some college coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years workers’ compensation claims experience required.
• Claims experience working in CA is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle all aspects of workers’ compensation claims from set-up to closure.
• Conduct timely 3-point contact investigation as facts change.
• Mitigate claim exposure and negotiate settlement to achieve best outcomes.
• Set and adjust timely reserves within authority limits.
• Administer statutory medical and indemnity benefits through the life of the claim.
• Comply with applicable statutory guidelines, rules, and regulations.
• Collaborate with defense counsel to manage litigation costs and outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve claims processes and SOPs.
