Core duties include managing claim inventories, conducting investigations, negotiating settlements, and communicating complex coverage details to insureds and partners. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in P&C claims, with AIC encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of property and casualty claims handling experience.
• Professional designation such as AIC preferred.
• Ability to organize and prioritize caseloads; strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of claims to evaluate compensability/liability.
• Plans and conducts investigations to confirm coverage and liability.
• Negotiates settlements/reserves within authority; may attend arbitrations, mediations, or trials.
• Communicates complex coverage and settlement information to insureds and external partners.
• Authorizes payments within authority and ensures timely payments.
• Maintains accurate claim files and documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
