The role offers a hybrid work arrangement from Richfield, OH (4 days in-office) or full remote option within the USA, with core on-site days Tue–Thu. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in P&C claims and may pursue a professional designation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of property and casualty claims handling.
• Completion of or progress toward professional designation (e.g., AIC) preferred.
• New England state handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of claims to evaluate compensability/liability.
• Plans and conducts claim investigations to confirm coverage and determine liability, compensability and damages.
• Determines and negotiates settlements/reserves within assigned authority.
• May attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials.
• Conveys complex information regarding coverage and settlements to insureds, claimants, and external partners.
• Authorizes payments within authority limits and ensures timely payments.
• Maintains accurate and detailed claim files, including correspondence, reports, and settlements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
