• Minimum of 5 years in property and casualty claims handling.
• Progress toward a professional designation (e.g., AIC) is preferred.
• Experience handling New England state claims is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of claims to evaluate coverage and liability.
• Plans and conducts claim investigations to confirm coverage and damages.
• Negotiates settlements and reserves within authority.
• May attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials.
• Communicates complex information to insureds, claimants, and partners.
• Authorizes payments within authority and ensures timely payments.
• Maintains accurate claim files and related documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
