Job summary

AvonRisk in the United States is seeking a Claims Manager to oversee a unit of Claims Specialists and Support staff. The role emphasizes coaching, performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance with Labor Code rules and company standards.

You will drive quarterly audits, mentor personnel, and ensure timely, accurate handling of claims while coordinating with other departments to sustain teamwork and high service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• Five or more years of progressive technical claim experience.
• Ability to provide adequate guidance on complex claim cases and negotiate settlements.
• Strong judgment and discretion in handling claims.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the claims unit and ensure timely performance reviews.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Ensure claims handling complies with Labor Code and company rules.
• Conduct quarterly audits of open inventories for accuracy and process improvements.
• Coordinate with other departments to foster teamwork and efficiency.
• Handle elevated personnel issues and advise management on corrective actions.
